Glamping holidays in Cornwall – Explore
The beauty, of course, of taking a Shepherds Hut glamping holiday in Cornwall is your opportunity to explore some of the most beautiful landscapes in Cornwall.
Staying in a Shepherds Hut at Nanpusker Glamping Holidays is nearly as far west as you can go – right at the foot of Cornwall. And while your Shepherds Hut at Nanpusker itself will be very peaceful, you’re a stone’s throw away from beaches, famous beauty spots and local amenities.

Nanpusker Glamping Holidays in Cornwall feels remote, but we’re only a short, few minutes drive from the A30! Use the map below to find your way, or enter “Nanpusker Glamping Holidays” into Google Maps for directions.
The nearest mainline station in Cornwall is Hayle, a 10/15-minute taxi ride away.
Getting to Nanpusker Glamping Holidays by air to the West Country, in Cornwall we have the Newquay Airport which is just over 50 miles away or just outside of Cornwall there is Exeter Airport which is just over 100 miles away.
Beach days at Hayle and Gwithian
Just a ten-minute drive takes you to Hayle, with its sweep of golden beaches, outdoor pool, and great selection of shops, cafes and pubs. For younger guests, wildlife sanctuary Paradise Park in Hayle is a great day out, with the bonus of an indoor play area for rainy days.
Gorgeous Godrevy beach is at the eastern side of Hayle, with stunning views, coastal walks and fabulous rockpooling, as well as the excellent Gwithian Academy of Surfing if you fancy learning a new skill!
Sightseeing at St Ives
Beautiful St Ives is just five miles away from Nanpusker’s Shepherds Huts. During the high season, we recommend you take the branch line train from St Erth, which saves you parking in St Ives and gives you some of the best railway views in the country! St Ives is home to the famous Tate St Ives as well as several excellent beaches, a lovely working fishing harbour and pretty winding streets. If you fancy catching some sea fishing, catch a trip in the Dolly P from the harbour.
Between St Ives and Hayle is Mediterranean-looking Carbis Bay. If you want to try surfing, kayaking or stand-up paddle boarding, Ocean Sports is based here, and offers all these and more. There’s also an elegant hotel with an excellent restaurant and spa.
Fishing villages and famous landmarks
Penzance is 10 miles west of Nanpusker Glamping Holidays. Again, there’s a good choice of shops and eateries, as well as the Jubilee Pool, a lovely Art Deco lido. Beyond Penzance you’ll find fishing port Newlyn, pretty village Mousehole, the clifftop Minack Theatre, and lots of rugged coastline (as seen on BBC’s Poldark!). Just before you get to Penzance, you come to medieval town Marazion, home to iconic island St Michael’s Mount.
Gardens and museums
If you head east up the A30, you’ll soon reach major Cornish attractions such as the Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan. There are lots of National Trust houses, mining sites and gardens in Cornwall – we especially like Glendurgan Garden near Falmouth, with its sub tropical planting and fantastic maze. Falmouth itself is a great place to spend some time, and the National Maritime Museum Cornwall is a fascinating place.
